About Special Issues / Collections
Highlights of Vehicles publishes Special Issues / Collections to collect articles that concentrate on hot topics in a specific area. The aim of Special Issues / Collections is to provide a forum to bring together authors and readers who are interested in the topics to discuss the latest research and foresee future research directions. The topics of Special Issues / Collections must be within the scope of the journal.
Special Issues / Collections are not independent issues of the journal. All submissions to the Special Issues / Collections follow the same peer review process as regular papers and are published in the regular issues of the journal when they are accepted. The Special Issue / Collection articles will also be additionally labelled as part of a Special Issue, and are put together on a dedicated webpage as a collection.
Special Issues / Collections are led by Guest Editors who are experts in the subject. Guest Editors serve the same function as academic editors for submissions in their Special Issues / Collections, including pre-screening new submissions, overseeing peer-review process, and making decisions on papers after peer-review, etc.
