Short Biography
Ph.D. in Economics and Full professor in Applied Economics at the Seville University. He is member of the Chair of Energy and Environmental Economics. His main research lines focus on environmental and energy economics, economic growth and public policies evaluation. Among his main research topics are the relationships between energy and economic growth, the Energy-Environmental Kuznets Curve, economic energy policies and production functions extended with energy. His studies have a rigorous econometric basis, with a predominance of panel data, expertly using economic growth and energy balances databases. His main research projects are funded by the Spanish and regional government and by the European Commission. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and maintains collaborative research with the University of Bejaia (Algeria).
