Short Biography
Luis Le Moyne was born in Mexico City on April 24th, 1969. In 1992, he received the Engineer degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (Paris tech) and in 1993 the D.E.A degree in Energy Conversion, from the University of Paris 6, France. He developed advanced modelling of Diesel engines for aeronautics. Then he joined the Physics & Mechanics laboratory at the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI), France, where he started his Ph.D. thesis. In 1997 he obtained the Ph.D. degree in the Energy Conversion Science at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (Paris Tech). His Ph.D. thesis was entitled 'Air/Fuel excursions reduction in transient functioning of S.I Engines'. From 1998 to 2008, he was an associate lecturer at the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI). In September 2007, he was awarded the «Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches» (HDR) from University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) for his research on 'Mixture formation studies in internal combustion engines'. In September 2008 he joined ISAT, Institute for Automotive and Transport Engineering, faculty of the  Université de Bourgogne,  where he founded the Energy, Propulsion, Electronics and Environment department, and in from 2011 to 2020 was director of the institute and in 2019 Vice-president of UBFC university in charge of engineering schools. Co-author of  over 100 scientific communications, book chapters, patents and articles, member of international PhD jurys, industrial clusters, scientific committees, and executive boards, Luis Le Moyne is a recognised authority in the field of automotive powertrains.
